Meanwhile, in a kingdom not so very far away, times are tough. The royal coffers are empty, the ermine shortage is starting to bite and there’s a party to be planned! There’s only one thing to do – it’s time to marry off Princess Aurora to the richest Prince available.

As for the Princess, well she may think that she’s in love with the charmless Prince Wilbert but it’s hard cash her parents are after – not sentiment. Love will have to wait!

Then, as Aurora waits for the most well heeled suitor to answer her parent’s call an even worse disaster befalls the kingdom. A horrific dragon is walking the land and burning all before it. Everyone knows that dragons can only be appeased by one thing – the sacrifice of a Princess! Wedding bells turn to the chimes of doom for Aurora as she is led away to await her fate as breakfast for the evil Jabberwock. Strangely, Aurora doesn’t seem too put out!

The kingdom needs a hero and fast! Ned arrives on cue and is all set to back out of his bid to rescue the Princess when Elly is discovered. The king arrests her as a spy – now the only way he will let Elly live is if Ned slays the Jabberwock.

Even Ned can’t let down his best friend. Not realising the King is not as heartless as he appears, Ned sets out to rescue the Princess, slay the Jabberwock and release Elly.

Princess Aurora has been tied to a stake and seems quite happy to stay there! Then with a blood curdling roar, enough to make the blood of the stoutest hero run cold, the terrifying Jabberwock rumbles onto the scene. Keeping himself in front of the Princess, Ned raises his sword for the all important blow. Just then Aurora runs between him and the monster! Something’s not right. In fact the monster doesn’t seem so terrifying after all! In fact … the Jabberwock is Prince Wilbert in disguise.

Ned returns to the palace, Elly is released, Prince Wilbert is bequeathed a fortune from a long lost relative and everyone can live happily ever after!

And Ned? Well he has no more idea than he had before of what he wants to be but he knows one thing: when the decision has to be made it will be him making the decision!
